AWCI Educational, Library & Museum Charitable Trust Mission Statement
The AWCI-ELM Charitable Trust was organized and is operated to aid in the advancement of the art and science of timekeeping (horology) through activities in education. Its purpose is:

1. To lend all practical assistance to schools that engage in the teaching of horology;
2. To educate and encourage students / individuals who are either pursuing or considering studies
and / or careers in horology and the horological crafts;
3. To provide those individuals who are interested in horological crafts with practical, technical and current information about horology. We are able to provide these services by maintaining our Henry B. Fried Resource Library on-site; and
4. To provide and maintain a horological museum on-site where unique timepieces (i.e., watches, clocks, etc.) and tools can be stored or placed on permanent / semipermanent display for study, research and public viewing. The Orville R. Hagans History of Time Museum provides the public
and the professional with a better understanding about the history of watchmaking and clockmaking through the years.
